VS 1
He left a note upon the pillow where he slept
and packed his things up while she dreamed.
He'd leave her if he didn't love her anymore -
a painful promise he'd have to keep.
He kissed her gently as she turned around in bed
and wrapped herself up in the sheets.
He grabbed his bags and slowly made his way to the door
and as he left he turned around and said...

Take care of my old angel please, new moon
and watch over her when she cries out my name.
Tell her she'll find someone better -
someone new instead -
to love her more than I could ever love her in one day.
And  be there if her new loves break her heart
and when it seems her world has been torn apart -
Then maybe she would understand
that I could never be the man
that picks her up whenever she is down
because this time - I won't be around.

VS 2
He took one last look at the old life he had lived -
three years that he could never try to replace.
Thinking back to all the memories they made
as he wiped the tears for her from his face.
She woke up when she heard the closing of the door
and knew eventually, that it would have to end this way.
She read the note and took his picture from the shelf
and as he passed the bedroom window he heard her say...
